How it works

From sign-up to your first report.

Create your account, add sites and departments, install the Windows agent, review discovered AI tools, and publish your policy. For the components behind each step, see the platform overview.

The five steps

  1. A company creates an account

Enter your company name and choose its unique company URL, then add the account owner and billing details. Availability is checked as you type, and the owner confirms their email address before anything is activated.

  2. The company sets up payment

Review your monthly total, then set up payment on the payment provider's secure page. The available payment methods appear during sign-up. Your workspace is created as soon as payment setup is confirmed.

  3. An administrator chooses the installer scope

Choose the site, and if you like a department, that the installer registers devices to. Every device installed with it lands in the right place from its first check-in, and you can move a device later without reinstalling.

  4. The agent is installed on Windows

Deploy the agent using your usual device-management approach or install it directly. Each enrolled device running the agent counts as one active agent for billing. The help centre has setup guides.

  5. Review your first report

Within a check-in cycle you can see supported AI applications in use or installed, supported AI websites at service or domain level, and how the current policy applies. Explore reports and evidence, then use the AI compliance checker to explore the rules and standards that may apply to your organisation.

Example values are illustrative.

Check-ins and offline devices

A company-set schedule, dependable when disconnected.

Agents check in every 15 minutes by default. A company owner can choose 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 120 minutes for their organisation.

  • A device that goes offline keeps enforcing its last cached policy.
  • When it reconnects, it checks in, reports, and picks up any newer policy.
  • The portal shows the last check-in time, so offline devices are easy to spot.
  • The agent installs only AI Assure's own published updates. Release notes are shown in the customer portal.
  • A blocked AI website shows an explanation in the same browser tab, and a blocked AI app shows a notice on screen when it is closed.
  • The optional tray icon opens a window showing the organisation's AI policy, recent blocks, and what is reported about the device. A company owner can hide the icon in company settings.

What your staff see.

The agent explains itself. When something is blocked, people are told why and who to ask, and they can open a window that shows your AI policy and what is reported about their device.

A blocked AI website explains itself in the same browser tab, naming the service and your organisation. Nothing is sent to the blocked site.
A blocked AI app is closed, and a notice on screen says why.
The AI Assure window, opened from the tray icon, shows the policy, recent blocks, and what is and is not reported.

Drawn from the Windows agent, with sample names. "Ask IT for access" appears when your organisation sets who staff should contact. A company owner can hide the tray icon.

Good to know

Common questions about getting started

When is my company workspace created?

After the owner's email address is verified and payment setup is complete. Until then, nothing is activated.

Which operating systems are supported?

The agent runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. macOS is not supported yet.

Can I start with a few devices?

Yes. There is no minimum number of agents, so you can start with one.
