AI applications in use
While an AI program is running on a Windows device, the agent recognises it by its program name, including desktop assistants and local AI software that runs models on the device.
AI Assure identifies supported AI applications while they run or when installed, and visits to supported AI websites, then organises them into a catalogue your team can review.
The Windows agent checks supported AI programs while they run, checks which supported AI apps are installed, and records visits to supported AI websites at service or domain level.
While an AI program is running on a Windows device, the agent recognises it by its program name, including desktop assistants and local AI software that runs models on the device.
From agent version 1.3.2, the agent also reports supported AI applications installed on the device, whether or not they are open. This helps you see tools before they are used.
Visits to AI services in the catalogue are recorded at service or domain level: which service, on which device, and when. Page content, prompts, and responses are not part of the record.
This example uses illustrative sample data with generic tool names. Your catalogue reflects the tools actually reported by your devices.
Detection depends on the supported discovery methods and on catalogue coverage. New AI tools appear constantly, so the catalogue is updated over time, and some tools may not be recognised until they are added.
Discovery is designed to give your organisation a strong, practical view of AI use on enrolled devices. It is not a guarantee that every AI tool, on every device or network, will be detected.
Discovery reports AI use at service or domain level. AI Assure is designed not to intentionally capture prompts, typed content, uploaded files, AI responses, or screen content.
